The usual way round is that most of the work lands on you: chasing the old host, writing the words, filling in a questionnaire asking what your own business does. Here is your side of it instead.

Your prices, your hours, the area you cover, anything you are qualified in. I will not write those for you, because they have to be true and you are the only one who knows them.
Read it and say yes, or say what is wrong
The words and the design arrive finished. Changing them is a reply, not a rewrite, and there is no limit on how many times before we go live.

If you have photos of your own work, your premises or your team, send them, even phone ones. Nothing else on a small business website earns trust the same way. If you have not got any, I will sort the images, and no stock or generated picture will ever be presented as your work, your team or your premises.

About your web address
Most of the time it does not need to move at all. It stays registered where it is and I point it at the new site, which takes minutes and cannot leave you without a website or email halfway through. If you do want it away from your old host, I will chase them for it. One part of that only you can do, because the rules say the person the address is registered to has to authorise the move: that is one email you forward or one box you tick. If your old host charges a release fee, that is theirs and not mine, and you will know before you pay anything.
About the words
Your pages are written around what you actually do and where you do it, so people searching for it can find you. That is not a promise about rankings, which nobody can honestly make. It is a promise that you will never be handed a blank page and asked to write your own.

What is always included
- Nothing to pay up front
- On a monthly plan, nothing at all. Per-project work is 50% on agreement and 50% on launch, agreed in writing first.
- No notice period
- Stop whenever you like. After the first 30 days, hosting is paid a month in advance and that month is not refundable, which is the only catch. Inside them, The 30 Day Walk Away applies and you get it all back.
- You own everything
- Your domain, your content, your accounts. If you leave, you take the lot with you and I'll help you move it.
Your site is served from whichever data centre is closest to the person visiting, so it loads faster than it would from a single server in one place. Where your data is held sets out exactly where each part of it sits.
What happens if it goes wrong
Two promises, both specific enough to hold me to. Every agency says it cares; these are the versions that cost me something if I am wrong.
The 24 Hour Restore Promise
“My site will break and I will not be able to reach anyone.”
If your site goes offline and I have not restored it within 24 hours, your next month is free.
You are not buying a support queue. If the site is down, it is one person's job to get it back, and there is a cost to me if I do not. No ticket number, no hold music, no wondering whether anyone has noticed.
The 30 Day Walk Away
“I will pay and it will be rubbish.”
If you do not like the site in the first 30 days, you get your money back and you keep the domain.
You see the finished site before you are committed to it. If it is not right, you are not stuck with it, and you do not lose the web address your customers already have.
Both are written into the terms in the same words, so the promise and the contract match.
FAQs
The bits people usually ask.
Is there anything to pay up front?
Not on a monthly plan. There's usually a one-off fee for building the site, but I'm not charging it right now, so you start on the monthly price. Per-project work is different: that's 50% on agreement and 50% on launch, and you'll have the fixed total in writing before either payment.
Can I pay for a year up front?
Yes, and it's cheaper. A year of the website plan is £490 instead of £588, and the plan that brings work in is £790 instead of £948. Either way that's twelve months for the price of ten. Switch the toggle above the three plans to see the annual prices.
What's in the price?
Hosting, daily backups, SSL, security updates, small content changes, and your domain registration and renewal. It's what keeps your site fast, safe and looked after instead of slowly going stale.
Is my domain included?
Yes. A standard .co.uk or .com is included in the monthly price, both the registration and the renewal. Premium names and unusual extensions are quoted separately.
Is there anything extra to pay?
Your plan covers everything listed in it. Anything beyond that, extra pages, a shop, a content editor, branding, is quoted and agreed before any work starts. If you need a Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace licence, that's billed at what it costs me with nothing added on top. Nothing ever turns up on a bill you haven't seen.
Do the prices include VAT?
Yes. £49 and £79 a month both include VAT, and the annual prices do too. Per-project work is quoted as a fixed total including VAT, so the number you agree is the number you pay.
Can you move the site I already have?
Yes, and moving it is included rather than charged for. I take what you have, improve it and host it. The domain and email move with as close to zero downtime as I can manage, and if you would rather leave them where they are, that works too.
Can the price go up later?
Your price stays the same for as long as you stay on the plan. If that ever changes you get thirty days' notice and you're free to leave.
What if I change my mind during the build?
If you're not happy before the site goes live, you get your money back and hosting doesn't start. And if you only realise afterwards, The 30 Day Walk Away covers the first 30 days from launch: money back, and you keep the domain. I'd rather that than talk someone into a site they don't want.
Do I own the website?
Yes. The domain, the content and the accounts are in your name throughout. Copyright in the design and the code transfers to you at launch on a monthly plan, and on final payment for per-project work. There's no lock-in and nothing to pay to release any of it.
How do I stop?
Tell me, and that is it. There is no notice period and nothing to give notice against. If you are inside the first 30 days, The 30 Day Walk Away applies: you get your money back in full and you keep the domain. After that, hosting is paid a month in advance and that month is not refundable, so you keep the site running for the month you have already paid for. If you've paid annually and leave part way through, the unused months are refunded, minus that one month. You take the domain, the content and the accounts with you either way.
How long does it take?
Most websites go from first chat to live within a week. Anything with a custom tool takes a bit longer, and I'll give you a real date up front rather than a vague one.
