Websites
Web designer vanished? Site broken? Bring it here
I take over websites that other people built and then walked away from: moved, fixed and looked after properly, with the move itself costing you nothing.
- The move
- Free
- Ongoing care
- From £49 a monthincluding VAT
- Forced rebuild
- Never

Signs you need a rescue
Any one of these is enough. You do not need the full set.
- You cannot reach the person who built your site, and have not been able to for weeks
- Renewal emails keep landing and you do not understand what any of them are for
- The site is down, or went live half finished and stayed that way
- You keep paying invoices for things nobody has ever explained
What the move involves
Three steps, and I do the heavy lifting in all of them. Nothing is switched off until its replacement is up and working.
Get your logins back
If you have your passwords for the domain, hosting and email, that part is already done. If you do not, I help you recover them: every registrar and host has a process for proving a business is yours, and I walk you through it.
Move everything across
Your site is copied onto my hosting and checked before anything switches over, so downtime stays as close to zero as possible. The domain and email move at the same time, or stay put if that suits you better.
Make it stable
Daily backups kept off the server they protect, software and security updates, SSL so the browser shows the padlock, uptime monitoring. The things that should have been happening all along start happening.
Fix first, then improve
Stability comes first. Improvements are a conversation for afterwards, and only if you want them.
The first job is making the site safe: backed up, patched, monitored and behind SSL. After that, improvements are a conversation, not a pitch. Plenty of rescued sites are decent sites that were simply abandoned, and if yours is one of them, it stays as it is.
Moving is included, not charged for
Whatever state your site arrives in, the move costs nothing: site, domain, email and any login recovery on the way. The only ongoing cost is care and hosting from £49 a month including VAT.
Common questions
- Will my site go offline during the move?
- The aim is as close to zero downtime as possible. I build a working copy of your site on my hosting first, check it, and only switch over when it is ready. Your domain and email move at the same time, or stay where they are. Done properly, most visitors would never notice it happening.
- What if I do not have my logins?
- That is normal in a rescue, and it is fixable. Registrars, hosting companies and email providers all have a recovery process for the legitimate owner, and I walk you through each one. Afterwards every account sits in your name rather than mine, so you can never be locked out like this again.
- What does the move cost?
- Nothing. Moving your site, domain and email is free, including any login recovery on the way. The only ongoing cost is the care plan from £49 a month including VAT once the site is living with me, and there is no notice period if you ever leave.
